Christen Simpson Raynes, Dental Care for the Next Generation
Christen Simpson Raynes, DDS, MBA received her Bachelor of Arts in biology and her DDS degree from West Virginia University. She chose to expand her business knowledge, receiving her MBA from the University of Charleston. Dr. Christen continually strives to be on the forefront of dentistry, staying well informed of new technologies while improving care for the next generation of patients. She is known for her compassion, gentle touch and caring approach to each patient she treats. She is happy to be the third generation of Simpson dentists carrying on the tradition of providing beautiful smiles.
Dr. Christen brings deep, firsthand expertise in implant dentistry to every patient she treats. She spent 20 years working alongside Dr. Mark Simpson, one of the most prolific implant providers in the country, building the clinical foundation that has helped our team restore over 6,000 implants and counting. She is a mentor with the Cdocs Academy, where she shares that expertise with the next generation of clinicians. Her professional memberships reflect her ongoing commitment to the field, including membership in the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Christen is active in the community as a part of the Charleston Area Alliances and the Gabriel Project. Dr. Christen also volunteers at Health Right to provide dental care to the underprivileged adults of West Virginia.
Dr. Christen was selected to the Young Guns Class of 2009. Young Guns is a group of upcoming, select professionals who are community movers and strive to make West Virginia great. Dr. Christen was selected by WV Executive Magazine for their “Young Guns Reloaded” issue to honor her achievements since being selected as a Young Gun eight years earlier. She was also selected by the State Journal in 2010 to be among the “Top 40 Professionals Under 40.”
Most recently, Dr. Christen was selected as one of Incisal Edge’s 40 under 40 America’s Best Young Dentists. Incisal Edge, published by Benco Dental, the leading lifestyle magazine for dental professionals nationwide, selects 40 of the top young dentists in the nation. Incisal Edge celebrates dentists’ achievements both inside the operatory and during their hard-earned downtime.
Dr. Christen enjoys spending time with her husband, Derek, and her two kids, Ben and Adia. They enjoy watching WVU sports and outdoor activities such as camping, biking and skiing.

Chase Preston, DDS
Dr. Chase Preston is a proud West Virginia native, raised in Logan, WV. He earned his undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from Marshall University before graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. He began his career serving patients in Huntington, WV, where he gained extensive, well-rounded experience in cosmetic, pediatric, and family dentistry. Dr. Preston continually strives to expand his clinical capabilities, staying on the leading edge of advanced procedures to ensure patients receive exceptional, comprehensive care. Known for his approachable personality and gentle chairside manner, he finds fulfillment in transforming smiles in ways that improve each patient’s health, confidence, and lifestyle.
Dr. Preston brings a highly focused expertise in comprehensive smile restoration and advanced implantology to our team. Committed to the forefront of dental technology, he utilizes state-of-the-art digital workflows to deliver predictable, life-changing results in full-mouth rehabilitation, including complex crown, bridge, and custom veneer cases. His extensive postdoctoral training includes completing rigorous, live-patient surgical programs through Implant Seminars in both Miami, Florida, and the Dominican Republic. This dedication to mastering advanced tooth replacement solutions is highlighted by earning a prestigious Fellowship with the International Dental Implant Association (IDIA). Deeply committed to community outreach and specialized care, Dr. Preston serves as the designated dentist for Complete Care at Oak Ridge, where he conducts on-site dental exams for residents and provides advanced in-office treatments for their elderly patients. Additionally, he is honored to serve our nation’s heroes, working alongside Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) to conduct essential dental and benefit exams for area service members.
Active in both the profession and the community, Dr. Preston is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Kanawha Valley Dental Society. His passion for clinical excellence and his dynamic arrival at the practice were recently recognized with a dedicated feature in West Virginia Executive magazine, highlighting his commitment to serving and elevating dental care across the state.
Outside the office, Dr. Preston is an avid golfer and a regular competitor in tournaments across the state through the West Virginia Golf Association. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, tackling home improvement projects, and traveling to new destinations.
